Every One of a Kind by Kay™ creation begins with more than beads, crystals, wire, color, or shine. It begins with a feeling, a memory, a lesson, or a message that someone may need during a particular season of life.
Some pieces are reminders to keep going. Some carry the courage to begin again. Others speak of peace, protection, faith, joy, healing, or becoming. Although every design is different, each one is created with the same intention: to place something meaningful into the hands of the person it was meant to find.
This is not jewelry made only to match an outfit.
It is wearable art created with purpose.
A Note from Kay
I have always seen meaning in the little things—the charm someone else might overlook, the color that brings back a memory, the stone that seems to carry a feeling, or the broken piece that still catches the light.
Where someone else may see one shiny stone or a pretty pair of earrings, I see a message taking shape.
Someone looking through a telescope may focus on a single shining star. I have always felt wired more like a kaleidoscope. I see colorful fragments, changing patterns, flashes of light, memories, emotions, and possibilities. I see separate pieces coming together to reveal something new—and often, a message most of us will need at one point or another.
That is how I create.
I do not begin with perfection. I begin with pieces. I move them, listen to what they seem to say, and allow the design to become what it is meant to be. Sometimes the finished piece speaks about strength. Sometimes it feels soft and hopeful. Sometimes it holds the energy of a fresh start. Every creation becomes its own little work of art with its own personality, purpose, and story.

The Mosaic of Healing
My life has taught me that healing often looks like a mosaic.
We break. We gather the pieces. We sit with what remains. Then, slowly and with grace, we begin arranging those pieces into something new.
The finished picture may not look like the life we first imagined, but that does not make it less beautiful. The cracks become part of the design. The fragments reflect light differently. What once felt ruined can become the beginning of something more honest, meaningful, and whole.
Every piece I make represents a beginning, a memory, or a moment. My hope is that it becomes something you cherish, because the one thing we can never recover in this life is time wasted.
Wear your piece as a reminder to be present. Protect your peace. Love deeply. Say what matters. Take the picture. Make the memory. Begin the dream. Do not keep postponing the life your heart is asking you to live.

One Greater Masterpiece
My jewelry, art, books, devotionals, children’s stories, and healing guides may look like separate creations, but to me, they are all pieces of one greater mosaic.
Each one carries something I have learned through struggle, faith, caregiving, grief, motherhood, healing, and beginning again. I take the things life has handed me—the beautiful, the broken, the complicated, and the unexpected—and try to turn them into something that can bring another person comfort, courage, clarity, or hope.
That is the heart behind C’est La Vie NOLA™.
It is also the heart behind One of a Kind by Kay™.
Together, these creations form the masterpiece I am building from my own memories, lessons, faith, and purpose. My hope is that they add a little more healing to the universe—one piece, one page, one message, and one meaningful moment at a time.
